Independent Instructors

Independent instructors:

• Contract directly with members for instructional services
The cooperative may facilitate introductions between members and instructors but does not control the instructional relationship unless expressly agreed in writing.
Aircraft Ownership and Lease Structure
Aircraft made available to members through the cooperative may be:
• Owned directly by the cooperative, or
• Owned by affiliated entities, or
• Owned by third-party aircraft owners
Aircraft may be made available to the cooperative through written dry lease agreements or similar contractual arrangements.
Lease agreements are structured to comply with applicable aviation regulations and insurance requirements.
No aircraft are operated under a wet lease arrangement unless explicitly permitted by applicable regulations and documented through formal agreement.
Operational Control
Operational control of each flight resides with the appropriately rated and qualified member pilot in command.
The pilot in command is solely responsible for:
• Pre-flight planning
• Airworthiness verification
• Weather review
• Weight and balance
• Fuel requirements
• Regulatory compliance
• Safe operation of the aircraft
All flights are conducted in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and safety best practices.

Members and instructors are responsible for maintaining:
